Greetings!  My name is Phua Yang and I am one of several social workers at Harding High School.  I have been with Harding High School and the St. Paul Public School district since 2003. Prior to joining SPPS/Harding, I was with Ramsey County Mental Health Center for many years as a mental health therapist and ran a private practice.  I have also worked as a probation officer, child protection social worker, and case manager at various local non-profits and county agencies, including Ramsey County Human Services, Wilder Foundation, and Community-University Health Care Center. 

I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminology and a Master in Social Work (MSW) degree.  I am also currently licensed as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). 

It has been a great pleasure being back at Harding as many family members, as well as myself, graduated from this high school.  I truly feel that I've come in full circle.  I'm married and have three beautiful children.  I enjoy traveling, spending time with family, reading, and growing/collecting flowers during the summer months.
