OUTnorth Premiere & MN Transgender History Conversation

Description

Saint Paul Public Schools Community Education and Twin Cities PBS invite you to a night of inclusion and education as we see clips and hear from the director of Out North: MNLGBTQ History, ahead of its October premiere on Twin Cities PBS!

Out North: MNLGBTQ History explores the untold past of Minnesota's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community and celebrates the strides the state has made since the gay liberation movement began in the 1970s.

View portions of the film highlighting the experiences of transgender Minnesotans, followed by a panel discussion that includes: Daniel Bergin, Director of Out North: MNLGBTQ History; Andrea Jenkins, oral historian for the Transgender Oral History Project at the University of Minnesota and current candidate for Minneapolis City Council; Captain Tarrence Robertson with the Minnesota National Guard; and, Esmé Rodríguez, School Equity Director for OutFront Minnesota.
