Fall Semester 2018: This semester I am teaching English 11, Grammar Matters, and Senior Leadership. All English students are expected to participate in independent reading throughout the year. Your student's first book needs to be selected off of our class list, but after they finish that book they can read novels of their choosing.
Govie Leaders: I am proud to be one of the advisors of our student leadership program called Govie Leaders. Please read more here.
About Me: I have been a Govie since fall of 2009. This year I'm teaching English 11, English 12, and Senior Leadership. I also am one of the three advisors for Johnsons Govie Leaders. At Johnson Senior High I have taught the following classes: American literature, public speaking, world literature, and GRAD reading.
Before arriving at Johnson I taught at Northwestern High School in Baltimore, Maryland and Red Lake High School in Red Lake, Minnesota. I have earned my Bachelors degree from Bemidji State, my Masters in English Education from Johns Hopkins, an additional reading license from Hamline University, and National Board Certification. I'm proud to be at Johnson and wouldn't trade it for any other school!
