Health Education provides students with knowledge, attitudes, and skills to make health-promoting decisions to help them live as happy, healthy, productive members of society. Students will analyze how positive and negative wellness can impact the society around them. They will address the seven dimensions of wellness that include: Physical, Mental, Social, Emotional, Environmental and Spiritual Health. Wellness is not a one-time decision but a series of decisions continuing thoughout our lives. Students will develop high level comprehension and understanding in the areas of Personal Wellness, Mental and Emotional Health, Drugs, Alcohol, and Tobacco, Body Systems and Disease, Nutrition and Human Sexuality.
