Ms. Renette McParland

My name is Renette McParland and I am the school social worker. It is my philosophy that all students can learn and in my role as a school social worker, I help parents, students, and school staff identify needs that interfere with learning. I work with students to develop the skills they need to be successful and to get the services they need. I facilitate groups on friendship, social skills, anger management and conflict resolution. I support students who have emotional, social, and behavioral needs, and students in crisis. I provide information and resources to staff and families. I am available at Horace Mann on Mondays and Wednesdays.
