    Superintendent Joe Gothard will host a live virtual meeting on Monday, December 4, at 5:30 p.m. Topics will include SPPS Achieves and the American Rescue Plan, the SPPS budget, and community values gathered over the past several months.   • Free Menstrual Products for SPPS Students

    In the upcoming months, Saint Paul Public Schools will begin providing menstrual products at no cost to students. These products will be available in restrooms regularly used by students in grades 4 to 12. This new offering is in response to a new law passed by the Minnesota legislature to improve access to menstrual products for students.

    We are SPPS: Ȟoká Máza

    Chaske Henry and his brother Robert Henry are students at Harding High School and founders of the drum group Ȟoká Máza. Inspired by their elder male role models, they use songs that have been passed down for generations as a way of connecting to their Indigenous heritage and sharing their culture. It is a way to forge healing and pay tribute to their roots, not only during Native American Heritage Month, but year-round.

    Project REACH is seeking new toys and gifts for children ages birth through 18. The gifts will go to families experiencing homelessness in SPPS.     We Are SPPS: Maria Soto

    Maria Soto is a longtime Saint Paul Public Schools staff member who is currently serving as a special education teaching assistant and on-call Spanish interpreter for the Latino Consent Decree Parent Advisory Council (LCD PAC). Maria immigrated to the United States from Zacatecas, Mexico 39 years ago, is fluent in both Spanish and English and is passionate about helping other newly arrived families find resources and community in Minnesota.
