    Faced with inadequate state funding, increasing educational costs and continued budget cuts, the Saint Paul Board of Education on Tuesday night unanimously approved a resolution asking voters to consider a school funding increase on the Nov. 6, 2018 ballot.

    Over the last several years, state and federal funding has not kept pace with inflation or the increasing costs to educate our kids. This has forced Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) to make hard choices. The District has cut more than $50 million in the past three years and will cut an additional $17 million for the 2018-19 school year.
