Interim Board of Education Appointment Process

The Saint Paul Public Schools Board of Education has approved the process and timeline for an interim board member's appointment due to Board Director Steve Marchese's resignation. Director Marchese is leaving to take a position with the City of Seattle, Washington.

The deadlines for the process are as follows:

  • March 9 at 5 pm | Candidate Deadline to File Application

  • March 12 at 5 pm | Nominations (if more than six candidates) by Board Members Due

  • March 16 at 6 pm | Special Meeting Selection Process (a special, televised meeting of the Board of Education)
