SPPS Staff COVID-19 Vaccine or Testing Requirement
On September 3, 2021, the Board of Education passed a resolution requiring all SPPS staff members to be fully vaccinated OR receive weekly testing for COVID-19. This new requirement will go into effect for all staff members on October 15. Read the Board resolution here.
In presenting the resolution to the Board, Superintendent Dr. Joe Gothard emphasized that the vaccine or testing requirement is one of the many tools SPPS is using to keep all students and staff safe and present in our buildings. View the meeting here.
Vaccination status is confidential and will only be shared with the Human Resources Department. Details about how to demonstrate proof of vaccination and how and where to get tested are being developed and will be communicated as soon as those details are available.
Staff members who have not done so are encouraged to get vaccinated at their earliest convenience. You can find vaccine resources at spps.org/covidvaccine.
