PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the undersigned, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 123B.09, Subdivision 6, does hereby call a Special Meeting of the Board of Education of Independent School District No. 625, Saint Paul Public Schools, to be held and convened on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Great Hall at Washington Technology Magnet School located at 1495 Rice Street, Saint Paul, MN 55117.

The purpose of this meeting is to bring SPPS community members together to offer recommendations on the topic of school safety.

The information gathered at this meeting will be used to help inform potential solutions to improve school safety. Additional opportunities for community engagement on this topic will be announced in the coming weeks.

Those wishing to provide comments regarding school climate and school safety may sign up in advance using the District’s form for submitting public comment at www.spps.org/boe or by e-mailing or calling the Board Secretary (sarah.dahlke@spps.org / 651-767-8149).

Those who do not sign up in advance will still be allowed to provide comments. Individuals providing comments are asked to speak for a maximum of two minutes.

The meeting is open to all. The public may monitor the meeting via live stream at www.spps.org/boe.
