Nov. 4, 2022: AFSCME Members Approve Labor Agreement
Members of the AFSCME bargaining group, representing clerical and technical employees, voted to approve a new two-year employment contract yesterday after reaching a tentative agreement in mediation on October 24.
The new contract includes 1.5 percent wage increases both years in accordance with the Board of Education’s parameters for all bargaining groups. It also includes Juneteenth as a paid holiday, language around remote work when schools are not open due to weather, and an increase in the district’s match for 403B/457 retirement plans.
The district wants to thank the AFSCME bargaining team for negotiating in good faith and reaching an agreement so we can continue serving the students and families of Saint Paul Public Schools.
