Hello Wellstone families,

We thank you for your patience and understanding if you are still waiting for a bus for your child. The District transportation Department continues to work hard to resolve bussing issues and are focusing efforts on improving bus availability and timeliness.

Many of you have been picking your child up after school and we want to thank you for your patience as we work out the challenges of getting over 100 students safely to cars.  We are looking at ways of speeding up the process and we will keep you updated if the process changes.  Remember that when you arrive and  your car is stopped, text your name and the names of your children that you are picking up to 651-321-3261.  Students will be supervised while walking to your car.  Parents should not come into the building during dismissal.

If you are  picking up your child and you did not complete the form for everyday pick up  please call the attendance line and leave a message stating your child's name and grade by 12:30.  If you call after 12:30 we will not be able to hold your child back from the bus.

Absences need to be  reported by 10:30 every morning. Leave a message on the attendance line stating student name, grade, teacher and reason for absence.

Attendance line: English 651-744-2363 or Spanish 651-744-161

Mask Requirement

Face masks are required for all teachers, staff, students and visitors (ages 2 and older) at Wellstone regardless of a person’s vaccine status.  Please read the COVID-19 Student and Family Guidelines for the latest public health recommendations from the Minnesota Department of Health.  If you have not already done so, please get vaccinated and encourage others who are eligible to do the same. You can find vaccine resources at spps.org/covidvaccine.

iPads

If you still have your child’s old iPad at home return it to school along with the charger. Students will be issued new iPads this year.

iUpate

Families need to complete their annual iUpdate for each student to ensure SPPS has your current contact information and other required forms on file. Visit spps.org/onestop to complete yours now.
