44th Annual Winfield Awards Honor Student Athletes

For the past 44 years, the Winfield Award has recognized graduating high school student-athletes of color for their accomplishments in academics, athletics and community activities.

This year, instead of naming a top male and female award winner, the Winfield Committee has chosen to honor 20 St. Paul graduating seniors, who will each receive a small stipend to assist them with furthering their post-secondary education.

The Awardees from Saint Paul Public Schools are:

  • Central High School: Anatalia Radoc and Mickies Kiros
  • Como Park High School: Shar Too and Ktru Moo
  • Harding High School: Amanye Reynolds and Destiny Azonwu,
  • Highland Park High School: Mya Bishop and Kojo Frimpong
  • Humboldt High School: Shakira Willis and Mu Thoo
  • Johnson High School: Nevaeh Sangster Lamb and Jeremiah Knox
  • Washington Technology Magnet School: BeBe Say and Dhiraj Basnet

In lieu of an awards banquet this year, the awardees were recognized on an Insight News podcast on June 11. Watch the replay on Facebook.
