Distance Learning Letter from Principal Terri Jackson

Dear Nokomis Families,

We are very excited to officially begin Distance learning with all of our students on Monday, April 6th. Your child’s teachers will be posting messages, lessons, or assignments every day. Please help your child build rituals and routines by having him/her log on to Seesaw ( Pre-K thru 3rd grade) or on Schoology (4th and 5th) daily for their learning. The teachers will take attendance each day by 9:00 am. They will take attendance by checking for the completed task or assignment from the previous day. During the first week, we may experience technical difficulties or other challenges as we begin Distance learning. Please do not worry, the technology difficulties will be solved. Please also know that we will always do our best to communicate the needed information to families in a timely manner. We are all learning together on this new journey, we will need to give each other grace and patience as we navigate through this learning experience. Please message your child’s teacher, or call the school at 651-744-7440 with any questions or concerns.
