Suicide Prevention Training and Other Opportunities for Mental Health Requirements

Licensed staff who have not had the opportunity to complete Suicide Prevention training at their schools or at another district training have just three more opportunities to complete this training before the end of the school year.

The purpose of this training is to provide information about risk factors, protective factors, and warning signs of suicide. It will also provide practical steps for staff to take when a student is expressing suicidal ideation.

Training sessions will be held on:

  • April 19 (2-3 p.m.)
  • May 14 (3:30-4:30 p.m.)
  • May 16 (7-8 a.m.)

Staff can complete anywhere from one to eight 30-minute sessions of this course.
