Como won first place in the State of Minnesota 2017 Earth Month Recycling Challenge

Como Park Senior High won first place in the State of Minnesota 2017 Earth Month Recycling Challenge for recycling 1176 pounds of Textiles in the month of April!  All the clothes are either reused or recycled thereby helping to clothe people in the US and around the world who can't afford to buy new clothes. Our great job of recycling in April has the following environmental impact: 1. Water: 2,822,400 gallons saved, 2.  Emissions:  17,640 pounds prevented, 3. Landfill Space: 7 cubic yards avoided and 4. three trees were planted!!  Way to go Como Community!  Keep recycling your clean clothes, blankets, curtains, and shoes by placing them in the green bin by the front parking lot.
