EXPO Families Helping Families Gift Drive

Families Helping Families Gift Drive
It is time for the annual EXPO gift drive! Last year we were able to help over 25 families and close to 100 children with this amazing gift giving and receiving project. The idea is to give if you can and receive if you are in need so that every EXPO family is able to enjoy the winter break and various holidays celebrated around this time of year. Here is how to participate:

December 4-13: GIVE
Donate new, unused, unwrapped items that are appropriate for children of all ages or teens. Big hits in past years have been LEGO sets, board games, sports balls, ear buds, and tools like curling and flat irons. We are also accepting gift cards to places like Target, Cub, and Aldi as well as wrapping paper/gift bags/tissue/ribbon. Donations can be dropped off at the EXPO office. Contact parent volunteer Sarah Souder Johnson (sarah.souder@gmail.com) with any questions or for help getting items to the school.

December 18-19: RECEIVE
All donated items will be set up as a secret store at school for these two days. Contact Heather Alden (heather.alden@spps.org), our excellent school social worker, if you would like help getting gifts for your children - no questions asked. She will then make an appointment with you to go "shopping." There will also be a gift wrapping station set up, so you can sneak everything home without your kids seeing a thing!

To volunteer to help with this event, just email Sarah. Let's make this the best year yet!
