Help Our Library Grow

A small group of EXPO’s 5th grade Girl Scouts is working to earn a Bronze Award, the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve. Their project involves weeding and reorganizing the picture book and early reader collections in the EXPO library. The girls have been working since February on the project. They removed from the collections an entire, overloaded book cart worth of books they discovered were torn, stained, and smelly. The Scouts could now use your help in restocking the library with the more beloved titles that were too beat up to keep on the shelves. With help from EXPO library volunteer extraordinaire Erin Brothen, the girls created a wishlist of books at  https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/30DK5THBS1GPD/ref=cm_gf_ss_wl that need replacing. The list was created through Amazon, but books may be purchased and donated from anywhere. The girls will also happily accept gently used donations of the books on this list. Cash donations can be turned in to the EXPO office. (Checks can be made out to the EXPO Council of Parents & Teachers.) If you have questions, please contact Jen Verbrugge, EXPO parent, at theverbrugges@gmail.com. Thank you for supporting the EXPO library and the Girl Scouts!
