Section 3 skiers faced tough conditions Tuesday with several inches of fresh snow on the trails by the start of the afternoon pursuit races at Theodore Wirth. St. Paul Highland Park girls crushed all competition, placing all seven of their skiers in the top nine and notching a perfect team score of 394! Molly Moening was the queen bee, taking first by over a minute. St. Paul Central girls came in second. Peter Moore, SPA, was racing on another level, flying to a two minute margin of victory in the boys pursuit race. The St. Paul Highland Park boys were nearly as impressive as the girls, placing all seven skiers in the top 10 to easily take the team title. Minnehaha Academy boys earned second place and the right to head to the State Meet next week.
