Leadership Update at Farnsworth Upper
Dear Farnsworth Aerospace Campus Community,
I am writing to provide you with an update on our search for a full-time principal for Farnsworth Aerospace Upper Campus. We are grateful for Peter Christensen’s leadership, and as you know, he will continue through the remainder of the 2022-23 school year.
The district will post the principal position later this week, and we anticipate beginning the interview process after SPPS Spring Break in early April. Our goal continues to be finding the best leader for Farnsworth Upper and our community.
We will share more information about the principal selection process in the coming weeks, and the community will be kept informed as we move forward with this process. As has been the case in the past, the first interview will involve an interview team that includes two staff members and two community members, with the intention of selecting a new principal who will begin at the start of the 2023-24 school year and will have the opportunity to be involved in budget matters and strategic planning.
Once the new leader of Farnsworth Aerospace is selected, we will share a simple survey with families and staff. This online survey will serve as a great opportunity for the school community to share what you believe the most important priorities are for your new leader and identify what you are most proud of about your school.
