Video about FUTP60
Fuel Up To Play 60 (FUPT60) is a national organization sponsored by the National Dairy Council and National Football League designed to promote making healthy eating choices and getting 60 minutes of exercise daily. We have had a small group of participants, 4th and 5th graders, since 2012. This year we have 31 students participating! We meet monthly for 30 minutes and strategize ways to make our school and community healthier. Our FUTP60 leaders are Janet Jacobson and Nikol Gordon. To date our students have had the opportunity to have a video visit with Cai Forbath, a Vikings kicker, helped distribute samples for a district sponsored taste test and 4 students were able to attend the Super Bowl Experience. We have earned some funding in the past which was used to purchase playground equipment.
This year we are focusing on reducing food waste in our cafeteria and pursuing ways to establish a walking program and trail with work out stations around our outdoor play area. For more information regarding this program please visit
