Perspectives 12-06-19

ADS Assembly
Students and staff celebrate their recognition as an Apple Distinguished School with an assembly. Here students program and operate robots using their iPads.
Please join us for an evening of crafts, snacks and fun Friday, December 13 from 6 to 8 in the school cafeteria. The Make It Take It Committee supplies all of the supplies needed to make the fabulous crafts shown here. Prices range from $1 to $4 each. Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase.
But it can’t happen without you! We still need volunteers for one of two shifts, either 5:45 to 7 or 6:45 to 8:30You do NOT need to be a crafty person – just willing to help hand out supplies and assist kids as needed. Fifth graders are welcome (and encouraged) to sign up for a shift with a parent or adult helper.
Volunteer help is the only way to make it a success. So thank you in advance for any time you can give. Please sign up here

Give Feedback on Budget for Next Year

Take the SPPS budget survey before December 20th.  St. Paul Public School district is conducting a survey to guide financial decisions for the district.  Your voice matters to Horace Mann and our community.  Please consider taking this 2 minute survey to inform the district on what matters to you and your family. There is an open-ended question about additional priorities at the end of the survey.

The survey is available to you right now by clicking here.

More survey information is available here:

Gratitude At Horace Mann School we are working on Gratitude. Discovery Club for Kindergarten and 1st Graders discussed things for which they are are grateful. Students mentioned education, teachers, and custodians. They decided a good way to show their gratitude was to do a school grounds cleanup! They walked around the inside of the school as well as around the outside of the building and filled trash bags with any garbage they found. Here is a picture of the group at the end of their quest!
