Principal Litwin Seeks Help for School Choice Fair

The School Choice Fair is an event for prospective parents. It takes place on January 25, 9:30am-2:00pm, at the Union Depot. Our school has a booth. Teachers help staff the booth and share their persepctive.

The principal could use help in two ways.

  1. We seek parent volunteers to help staff the booth to share their perspective. No experience necessary, just an enjoyment in chatting with others and sharing your Horace Mann stories. You could take a shift from 9:30-11:45am or 11:45am-2:00pm. Please email Principal Litwin with your interest.
  2. Our booth also has some tablecloths and a banner. They are very wrinkled. If you are willing to do some ironing to help out, please email Principal Litwin with your interest.

PTA Sponsors Special Speaker on Child Safety

The Horace Mann School Parent-Teacher Association is sponsoring a speaker on Tuesday, January 14, 6:30-8:00pm. Alison Feigh from the Wetterling Foundation will present: Teachable Safety Skills: Replacing Myths with Facts.

You will receive answers to questions like, "How do I talk to children about personal safety without scaring them to death?"

This presentation provides current information about various safety concerns children and teen are facing today, both in-person and online, and how to educate youth on those concerns in a positive way.

School-Age Childcare provided by 5th Grade Ambassadors.

Give Feedback on Budget for Next Year

Take the SPPS budget survey before December 20th.  St. Paul Public School district is conducting a survey to guide financial decisions for the district.  Your voice matters to Horace Mann and our community.  Please consider taking this 2 minute survey to inform the district on what matters to you and your family. There is an open-ended question about additional priorities at the end of the survey.

The survey is available to you right now by clicking here.

More survey information is available here: spps.org/survey
