“I’ve loved construction ever since I was little. I started with Legos and ended up with hammer and nails. In Construction Technology, I’ve moved from birdhouses to king studs, jack studs, and electrical work. After high school I’m heavily looking into schools that teach architecture, but I wouldn’t like designing something I couldn’t build. I’d be the first in my family to get a college degree.” -- Brandon is a junior at Central High. The school’s new construction pathway, which began last fall with funding from Greater Twin Cities United Way, is one of three career pathways in the trades in SPPS.
